So I resolved to quench my thirst for baking today and Marble Cake it was. Since there were instructions given regarding how to
make it into a checkerboard design, I and my sister went straight to “manufacturing” it. We gathered around all the required and (non) essential ingredients. We mixed one constituent after the other to make a perfect batter. It tasted good. I couldn’t eat all the batter as we had to leave some for baking also. The next step was to layer it. One spoon cocoa mixture another spoon vanilla mixture side by side and over and above. The two batters ended up mixing together to generate something very remote from a checkerboard. It was all swiveled and mixed together. It was disappointing and even the taste was ok. It was Martha Stewart’s recipe. I guess she forgot to incorporate something into it. I’m a good baker provided the procedure is correct. It was fun though… messing up the whole place (not for mum!). I look forward to baking again given that Martha gives proper instructions next time.
