The Crux Of Myriad

My friend Kulsum and I decided to do a personal project. Our intention behind this was to showcase our creativity and ingenuity. It also opened other ingresses aside from the basic intent it meant to serve.

The next move was to name our assignment. Kulsum finally came up with the word “Myriad”. She liked it. As she put it, it “sounded very Greek and” also had a “Magical” nuance to it. Then I stumbled across the term “Crux”, which caught my attention. I wanted to hold on to the word as I’m fond of the way the letter “x” sounds. Kulsum liked “Crux” because it verbalized heavily. We stuck on to these terms as we wanted to conclude on a base idea the two of us liked in addition to standing by the rudimentary rule of working as a team. We were and are a dream team.

We played with the words… “Crux… Myriad… Crux of Myriad? Myriad’s Crux (Kulsum was thinking of the grammatical arrangement at this point) Crux of Myriad... Crux of Myriad!!!” And that was how the phrase evolved. It was the best noun- adjective complement construction Kulsum ever came across and the first time I even fell upon a construction.

We then began to associate the words with ourselves. Kulsum was definitely Myriad. She simply gets cramped with ideas and solution. In a given minute, Kulsum transverses from the current time of initiation of the plan to the very end: its outcome. She dreams about all the possible forms of presentation, which is to be done after its completion. There is absolutely no stopping her… Now, this is where I come. The Crux. Once she messaged me stating “I have so many ideas I do not know where to stop”. I replied saying, “What is the Crux for then? To stop the springs of thoughts.”

As I was saying. I am the Crux. Kulsum and I cannot function without each other in a project. She is the start of. I’m the break of. She is the dawn. I am the dusk. She is the onset. I’m the end. Hence, she is the Myriad and I am the Crux.

As the days passed by, we were surging with notions of plans and designs. It was then realized that we were interconnected and interrelated with the phrase at a more intense and arcane level then it was previously thought of.

The phrase was expanded to harmonize with our respective personae. Myriad Watcher was titled to Kulsum. She watches people and draws conclusions and deduces the reason behind their actions and reactions all from an abstract perspective.

Listeners Crux was devised for me. I was designated this name as I pick up what everyone says, again, from an abstract perception. I hear and try to link people with their intended words and their situational stimuli. I analyze their supposed behaviour and then form a theory which resonances their statements.

As an interim final note we found the origins of the individual words. Myriad comes from the Greek word muriad or murious meaning countless. It was later adapted into Latin, French and then English.

Whereas, Crux originates from Latin which stands for the meaning cross. The name as remained as such and no changes have been made.

In conclusion this is the document that contains the secret lives of the Crux of Myriad.
