After dinner I asked dad to take us outside. Me and my family went outside just to find that it had stopped raining and settled again for drizzling instead. I took out my favourite hat more like a fishing hat you could say and wore it instead of my scarf. It was amazing. The roads were already clogged with water for such a small amount of rain the reason being that the drainage system is poor in Saudi as I guess they never expected so much rain in the coming years.
We took a trip to the beach by detouring to buy some groceries first. That was when I switched on the radio and got Lara Scott on the World Chart Show. There were playing No. 5 Akon, which meant just three more songs to hit Mika! I was glad that I didn't miss Mika's "We are golden" song. After a life time of long awaiting agony they played his song. This time we were in the corniche road and I could see that it was drizzling again and the rain drops were caught up in the wind. The momentum of the car and the wind and the yellow street lights made the drops look like gold snow! I gasped with delight that made my mum think
that something was wrong. Maybe i should work on my "ahhhh"'s. "We are not what u think v areee, WE ARE GOLDEN! WE ARE GOLDEN!!!!!!!!!!"
Then to top all of it the sewage's also decided to join in and they made breathing so horrible I had to close up the window and also not hear the middle of the song! Screw u drainage system!
As soon as that smelly experience got over we took a turn and went down the way we had come. My sister and mum noticed that the waves were more rash then usual (there being no waves at all). Not even a hint. This was the first time we saw the waves crashing against the rock in non- systematic speed. It was beautiful. We got down from our cars and went to have a closer look. The drizzle drops, the wind and the drops from the crash of d waves so so cool. My mum was shivering. I wasn't. I felt so good like it was right for me to be there. We tried to take a pic of the waves but it was dark and the scene just couldnt be frozen permanently on the screen.
We got back into the car and took a longer road. This was deserted. My mum and my sister happened to come across a crane. Dad told that it was a figment of their imagination. We then stopped the car again and took a 5 minute hike and their we saw this beautiful crane standing on its one leg. All alone. I felt something inside me, which was hard to describe. We watched it there for a long time and then left. We headed home. It was a night that I will never forget.
